Currently reading

Non-Fiction

Start with Why - Simon Sinek - This was the first book I read as part of my soft skills update. I can’t do it justice in a few lines. Concept its don’t use what a product or system is to tell people why they need it. There is a Ted talk (20 minutes) worth watching to see if you’re interested.

The Confidence Gap - Based on ACT gives a framework to help build confidence without the fake it till you make it mentality

Fiction

Going to name the first book from authors I like to keep to it brief, I would read anything they produce

Peter V. Brett - The Painted Man - Demons rise every night, only the wards can protect them

Brett Weeks - To be accepted, Azoth must turn his back on his old life and embrace a new identity and name. As Kylar Stern, he must learn to navigate the assassins’ world of dangerous politics and strange magics - and cultivate a flair for death.

Trudi Canavan - The guild’s worst fear has been realised . . . There is an untrained magician loose on the streets. She must be found before her uncontrolled powers unleash forces that will destroy both her, and the city that is her home.
